| 1942-2011 Sad news yesterday that I'm sure you've seen on just about every horror blog in the world by now, actor David Hess passed away at the age of 69. He's best known (to me anyway) for his roles as Krug from Wes Craven's Last House on the Left and Ferret from Swamp Thing. He was a talented actor, whose movies made you love to hate him. In fact I just bought a copy of Last House on the Left yesterday morning, before I learned of his passing, with the intentions of doing a "Why Won't You Die?" post about Krug in the near future. Of course that would be in bad taste now and I won't be going through with it. Rest in peace, David Hess. |

Hess was indeed one of the silver screen's most prolific fictional rapists. Although I'm sure he was a hell of a guy in real life.
Yeah, I also think he was a really cool guy. Would have loved to drink some beers with him.
